The “Hillside Bottleneck” construction, completed in 2002, extended from the I-88 and I-294 interchanges with I-290, to just east of Mannheim Road. The current Preliminary Engineering and Environmental Assessment Studies continue from just east of the improved Mannheim Road area and extend through Cicero Avenue.
