The I-290 HOV Feasibility Study was completed in 1998 and concluded that significant travel benefits could be gained for forecasted travel demands by incorporating HOV lanes along with road improvements. However, through the stakeholder coordination process additional transit components have been identified. The Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) is about to commence studies that identify potential transit travel markets in the corridor.
